If you automatically read that with Muldoon’s voice, you can tell that this is my review of Jurassic World.
I’ve been waiting for this movie since I saw the very first preview. As a bird nerd, the Jurassic Park series has always held a special place in my nerd heart. I remember being a kid and seeing Jurassic Park when it first came out in theaters. I just recently read Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park books. I wish I had read them sooner. Needless to say, I was very prepared for this movie.
For those who don’t know, Jurassic World takes place a couple decades after the first movie on the same island. Here we have the theme park fully functioning and in action. You have a couple of youngsters (crucial to a JP movie) on the island enjoying the fun. There’s a water show, lots of tourist attractions, and forget piling into an outdated Explorer. Hop into a gyro sphere and tour the park yourself. The park has created a hybrid dinosaur that they’re eager to show to the public, pending the typical safety investigation. Of course, life will not be contained and all hell breaks loose on the park. As always, life finds a way.
