Hocus Pocus Coming To Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Not A Jokeus.

In a surprise bit of news yesterday, the Disney Parks blog announced the Sanderson Sisters, Winifred Mary and Sarah, from the 1993 Halloween film Hocus Pocus will be coming to the Magic Kingdom for the annual Mickeys Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Every year Walt Disney World throws the special hard ticket event after hours at the park during the Halloween season. The Magic Kingdom closes and only guests with special tickets are allowed through the turnstiles. This equates to lower park attendance so there are shorter wait times for attractions as well as special events, character meet and greets, as well as free candy for trick or treaters. Oh, did I forget to mention you can dress up for this?

The three witches will be replacing one of the special events held nightly, the Villians Mix And Mingle. Held right on the forecourt stage right in front of Cinderella Castle, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular will feature not only the Sisters back for to raise some hell for one more night but also only projection technology on the castle and appearances from classic Disney villains as well. Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas and Dr. Facilier from The Princess And The Frog have already been mentioned as appearing, but also no mention if Binx the cat can take time out of his busy schedule to attend.

It's also worth noting that recently the stars of the film, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker all took to Twitter to say that they would all gladly return for a sequel. While nothing has been announced based off of this, as again this spun out of a Reddit AMA, wouldn't be surprising to have Disney use this to gauge interest in the return of the witches.

This isn't the only classic film finding new life on Disney property, as Indiana Jones side character Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar Announced For Disney Springs.

This is exciting news for those who grew up in the Disney golden age, but are there any other properties you want to see come back? Let us know in the comments!

If I can just brag about the Avengers screening for one second: it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It wasn’t just seeing one of my favorite movies on the big screen for the first time. It was in such a cool cinema with a bunch of fellow fans that cheer, clap, hoot and laugh throughout the whole movie; I’ve never been a part of something like that before...(Hit Read More To Continue)

I've always been a fan of collectible card games. I was able to jump into Magic: The Gathering early (with the release of Ice Age). Over the years other games like Overpower, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon and Ani-Mayhem have also captured my attention and money, even if only fleetingly.
